Job Development and Placement –When an individual is ready for employment, CES job developers work with an individual to provide assistance to find a job. Together they distinguish job-seeking responsibilities of both. During the search, the individual learns job seeking skills, such as, completing application, creating resumes and practicing job interviews. The process involves matching the individual’s skills, interests and abilities with a local employer’s job force.

Job Coaching - Job coaching supports individuals by providing training in work and interpersonal skills. Once an individual is employed, a job coach will work with both the employer and the employee to ensure the needs of both are met.

Follow-along and Job Retention - CES staff provides on-going contact with the individuals and employer to increase the potential for long term job retention. Staff continues monitoring as long as determined to be necessary.

Work and Personal Adjustment - CES staff works with individuals in their current jobs or at a competitive work site to address barriers to successful employment.

Assessment - Individuals have short-term work experiences during which staff can assess vocational skills and socialization abilities. Individuals have the opportunity to experience work in a competitive environment.

Job Shadowing and Job Try-out - Individuals have to opportunity to explore and try-out different jobs in the community.
