Hopewell School

Hopewell School was founded in 1965 by a group of parents who wanted their disabled children to receive educational services like other children their age. These parents and all those parents who have followed are the first piece of the Hopewell School puzzle. Hopewell School has changed significantly since that day but our mission remains the same: to provide an equal and appropriate education to the children of Coshocton County with disabilities so that they may grow into adults who have goals and dreams that are within their reach.

The Hopewell School staff believes that every child is unique and valuable and has a gift to share with society. We strive through education and other services and supports to provide children with the opportunity to share their gift and to contribute to their community throughout their lifetime. The staff of Hopewell School faces this challenge daily through reevaluating, rethinking, and exploring new ideas, methods and materials. This professionalism and dedication is a piece of the Hopewell School puzzle. The community of Coshocton County has supported Hopewell School unfailingly and continues to provide support in many different ways. This also is an important piece of the puzzle. Parents, dedicated staff and a caring community complete a picture of Hopewell School. We are proud of the work we do, we are sustained by every success, and determined to continue to meet the needs of children with disabilities in Coshocton County .
