2023 DD Awareness Month Coloring and Essay Contest Winners

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and that gave the Coshocton County community a great opportunity to create awareness, to learn more about inclusion and to share in the stories of individuals who live, work, and thrive in our county.   While the Coshocton County Board of DD and its various provider agency partners are active year-round in providing service and supports for those with developmental disabilities, March is a particularly fun time for us to highlight the important roles that individuals with developmental disabilities have within the fabric of our great community.

The Coshocton County Board of Developmental Disabilities would like to thank the elementary school students of Coshocton County for helping us celebrate.  There were one thousand and forty-three students who participated in our annual coloring (K-2nd grades) and essay (3rd-6th grades) contest with sixty-eight different classrooms participating county-wide, representing seven different elementary schools in Coshocton County.

We are proud to announce the winners of this year’s coloring contest (K-2nd grades): Jadelynn Renker (Warsaw), Lillyann Smith (Conesville), Ella Perrenoud (Coshocton Christian), Corbin Lillibridge (Coshocton City), Ryver Lane Hendireth (Coshocton City), Rosaley Poland (Keene), Wyatt Nys (Ridgewood), Harper Dotson (Ridgewood), Ivy Moore (Sacred Heart).  The winners of this year’s essay contest (3rd-6th grades) were: Jaxson Giesey (Sacred Heart), Emilia Lonsinger  (Conesville), Keira Booth (Coshocton City), Kylee Bordenkircher (Coshocton City), Rumer Ringwalt (Coshocton Christian), Hunter Ackley (Keene), Journey Rowland (Ridgewood), Mason Johnson (Ridgewood) and Burkley Wright (Warsaw).  Also congratulations to Mrs. Webster (2nd grade teacher) from Coshocton Christian Elementary for winning the teacher classroom prize this year.
